01. Using an HDMI® Audio Splitter (Recommended)
The simplest and most versatile solution.
Connection: HDMI® Input → Splitter → HDMI® Output (to display device) + Audio Output (Optical/Coaxial/3.5mm)
Advantages: Simple operation, plug and play, supports multi-channel audio, compatible with various devices.
02. Using ARC/eARC Functions
ARC (Audio Return Channel) and eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) are extended functions of HDMI®.
If both your TV and speakers support ARC/eARC, audio can be directly returned via an HDMI® cable without additional equipment.
Advantages: Reduces equipment and cables, supports high-definition audio formats.
Limitations: Requires both the TV and amplifier/speakers to support ARC or eARC.
03. External Amplifier or Decoder
Some high-end amplifiers have built-in HDMI® inputs, which can directly decode audio and output it to speakers.
Advantages: Excellent sound quality, suitable for professional home theaters or audiophiles.
Disadvantages: High cost, not suitable for general home users.
