An HDMI extender is a device used to extend HDMI signals. It's typically used when long-distance direct cables cannot meet transmission requirements, ensuring signal transmission without attenuation over long distances. It's generally active and can be divided into traditional and newer types.

Traditional HDMI Extenders

Analog Signal Transmission: Marketed transmission distance is 300 meters, but in actual testing, the maximum distance is 250 meters. Analog signals begin to attenuate from the first meter of transmission, and the attenuation becomes more severe with increasing distance, potentially rendering the signal unwatchable on a large screen.

Digital Signal Transmission: Consists of a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter is responsible for signal acquisition and compression, while the receiver handles signal decoding and port allocation. The maximum transmission distance is 60 meters.

Long-Distance Transmission Solution: Consists of an encoder, repeater, and decoder, connected via a Cat5/5e/6 Ethernet cable. It can transmit 1080p audio and video signals up to 1000 meters via Ethernet.

Product features: long transmission distance, clear image, flexible and convenient operation, supports chain and tree-type high-definition audio and video transmission.
